Home decoration is one of the hobbies that many people are passionate about. Whether you follow the latest trends or have your own style that you’d like to highlight, wood is usually present in one way or another in your spaces. Read on to find tips that will make your decorations stand out even more.

Wood is known for its earthy colors, textures and naturalness, as well as its warmth and the comfort it gives to any space. Today, we bring you some recent wood trends so you can decorate your home and make it your favorite place.

Eco Mode

Decoration with natural and sustainable materials is what stands out most today. This concern for living in more ecological and environmentally friendly spaces adds to the efforts to achieve carbon neutrality and waste reduction.

Among the eco trends, the focus is on materials such as wood, fibers, linen, cotton and organic elements in general, that can biodegrade in the future. Color palettes ranging from earthy to white are prominent.

Wood transcends in this scenario, with its warmth and timelessness. It’s one of the strongest and most durable materials in any home, and it’s even easy to modify over time, as it can be transformed from a coffee table to a shelf to even a garden decoration. Undoubtedly, wood is one of the materials that can contribute the most to a home.

Earth Colors

As in fashion, the soothing qualities and transparency of earth colors are trending in the home; from beige to deep browns to autumn copper colors, as well as dark tones and other light nude shades.

Once you have selected an earthy color palette, you can choose cushions, blankets, and fabrics to complement a coffee table in a living room. You can pair brown curtains with complementary colors found in a painting for a bedroom, and incorporate copper to give life to the elements that decorate your kitchen.

Curved Shapes

Curved, round and cornerless objects that flow with the space organically add charm to any space, and have been trending this year among furniture and home decor.

These shapes encourage creativity and provide a visually relaxing feeling. You can start with curved or circular coffee tables, rounded wooden stools, and corner pieces with wavy ends to give the perception of continuity.

Craftsmanship and Handmade Elements

Handmade crafting is a tradition that has returned to the home. Whether the crafts are from traditional fairs, cultural exhibits, created by local artisans or even your own creations, these handmade elements undoubtedly capture attention in your spaces; they give that touch of originality and style that you can highlight.

So, let us know - have you tried any of these trends so far this year? If you’d like, give us a peek of your decoration on our social media. We’d love to see it!
