Personalizing our spaces and adapting them to trends or personal preferences can be easy, with a little creativity and enthusiasm. Here we’ll give you a little wooden inspiration for your home.

Sometimes, we just can’t find the furniture and products that would make it easier for us to develop and feel comfortable in our spaces. Sometimes normal products or ideas that come from abroad just don’t meet expectations.

Taking the initiative and making your own furniture and furnishings is not all that complicated! Set aside a day in your calendar, make sure you have all the necessary tools and try to recreate a piece that fascinated you.

To make things a little easier, we’ll leave you a list of wood trends to inspire you. Remember to give your personal touch to each one in order to make your home truly feel like yours.

5 Trending Ideas with Wood

1. Flow Wall Desk

This has been one of the most shared trends on the internet this year. It’s a wooden frame attached to the wall that, when unfolded, transforms into a sophisticated desk with a creative and very original design.

The piece takes form with attention-grabbing curves and, supported only from the top corners, the wooden bars that hold the table, fitting its silhouette and generating the 3D figure that we love.

Robert Van Embricq's minimalist design is ideal for optimizing space in small areas or giving style and comfort to your workplace.

2. “Igloo” Side Table

This nightstand or coffee table takes advantage of spaces that are usually wasted in the home, making room for an ideal compartment for that feline member of the family.

Based on the cryptic behavior of cats to sneak into boxes, bags or other closed places, this oval-shaped table features a cat bed and a hole for them to enter the small shelter.

It's ideal for times when working or studying online is interrupted by that friend who wants to get your attention and wanders in front of the camera during video calls.

3. Rising Cinius Bed

With the help of an integrated motor, you can raise or lower this elevated bed. It has a ladder-like ledge where you can climb up on the raised bed, which is ideal for small rooms or to save space.

While it can be difficult to find one of these in the domestic market or one that suits the specific needs of each space, it is possible to replicate the model even without a motor; you could also use a chain system or mobile supports.

4. Sustainable Terrace

Pallets have been a growing trend in recent years. The idea of making custom furniture from reusable, cheap and sustainable materials has helped to put the Do-It-Yourself movement into practice, especially with the hundreds of tutorials on how to create shelves, kitchen furniture, beds, garden decorations and more.

Today, we recommend making your balcony or patio a wonderful terrace with a relaxing sofa and a coffee table - an incredible place to spend time. You can give it a warmer personal touch with some beautiful plants.

5. Multifunctional Table

Make a multifunctional table to use anywhere! With a couple of boards and packing materials, it’s easy to assemble a table to use as a desk from the comfort of your bed, to make a low table more comfortable or to eat anywhere you’d like.

You could also add a riser for your laptop.
