Organized by Madera21, Wood Week proposed "Sustainable Living" as the theme for its 17th version. Together with members of different branches of the timber market, Wood Week works to promote and expand the use of the material in Chile. The event, which took place between Wednesday, October 19 and Sunday, October 23, brought together great proponents and startups from the timber industry in Chile to show the development and application of wood in their ideas, in order to nurture and promote a market that is growing sustainably in the country. Wood Week featured stands, activities, competitions, workshops, talks, and seminars at Wood Week, according to Madera21. Companies, businesses and entrepreneurs were presented with various wood projects, services, construction solutions, engineering products, furniture, design, innovations and trainings in each area. Among the exhibitors, there was space for communities such as Fibra Local, which generates commercial areas for entrepreneurs and artisans from the regions of Maule, Biobío and La Araucanía, contributing to the local economy and cultural exchange. Fibra Local is an initiative promoted by CMPC that comes to Wood Week as a way of bringing the traditions of southern Chile to the community. From another sector, Niuform presented projects aimed at sustainable building in CLT and Glulam in the country. Meanwhile, the company exhibited innovations in wood products such as "Fire Retardant", "Hydro Repellent" and "Thermo Solutions", focused on making timber the leading material in the construction of the future. The five-day event was held at Parque Bicentenario in Vitacura, free of charge for the general public. Full of new ideas, innovation and joy, Wood Week closed with a view to a sustainable future.
