Let's take a break to think about the magic of wood and the incredible potential it has to create unique, comfortable and incredibly innovative spaces. 1. Canning Street House / Foomann Architects A neat and simple home - 110 meters of pure comfort and harmony. Bright, with calming corridors and a remarkable design. 2. Wiki World Forest Huts / Wiki World + Advanced Architecture Lab [AaL] These cabins are characterized by being small and somewhat secluded, ideal for exploring the possibilities of living in harmony with nature. The architects of Wiki World created these cabins under the concept of "natural construction". 3. Last Chance for a Slow Dance - Covered Public Space / Behark A proposal with a contemporary look at first glance, but one that is still respectful of the local architectural traditions in terms of form and size. The materials are stone, wood and concrete. 4. John Anthony Restaurant / Linehouse This project explores the fusion of architectural styles and materiality between East and West, in addition to a blurred colonial architecture which brings to mind a British tea room that is, at the same time, being transformed into a Chinese tavern. 5. Garden House / Al Borde José, the owner of this house and a very unconventional person, wanted his home to be more like a garden. In this project, the standards of comfort are questioned, and the limits between living within nature and living inside a house are tested. 6. Durtuli Community Spaces / Orchestra Design This project is a youth activity center that includes a skate park, streetball area and two stages for holding events. 7. Kozina House / Atelier 111 Architekti This house was built in a historic part of a small town in southern Bohemia; it stands out for its cool colors and the asymmetry of its construction, which gives it an innovative style that’s rustic at the same time.
